American Flag Day 2015-The Banner of Liberty

“Perhaps the most iconic flag associated with the heritage of American Liberty is that attributed in 1876, the centennial of the Declaration of Independence signing, to the hand of Betsy Ross. It featured 13 stars arranged in a circle within a blue union field, and with 13 red and white stripes. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Marines assigned to the 1st Marine Corps District along with members of each branch of service unfurl the American flag during the pregame ceremony at MetLife Stadium, Sept. 8, 2013. Five Marines from 1MCD were on the field representing the Corps during the New York Jets opening day.
